There is a noticeable increase in the number of women engaged in e-commerce in Kyrgyzstan. This was reported by Nargiza Mendekeeva, the director of development at Women in Tech Kyrgyzstan, during a training session for WIFI DX mentors aimed at women entrepreneurs.
She noted that the training program covers important aspects of the digital sphere, including cybersecurity, social media management, and the use of online platforms for promoting goods and services.
“As part of the program, we teach how to effectively use various platforms for business. Internationally, services like Amazon and TikTok Shop are actively used, while in the CIS, Wildberries and Ozon are popular. Our trainers explain how to properly position a product and what tools can help increase brand recognition. It is also important to understand digital risks, as any activity on the internet leaves a trace,” emphasized Mendekeeva.
According to her, the training is conducted by a team of specialists from the Pacific Asian Training Center, who have come from Indonesia.
The goal of the event is to develop digital skills among women, expand their opportunities in online entrepreneurship, and create a sustainable ecosystem for women's business in Kyrgyzstan.
