This year, the main focus was on the issue of digital violence. The organizers noted that with the growth of technology, women and girls are increasingly facing harassment and threats online, highlighting the need for new methods to protect human rights.
The festive opening of the event was conducted by Baktygul Ismailova, the Deputy Head of the Leninsky District Municipal Administration.
She emphasized: "Discussing the issue of violence is important, but it is even more necessary to unite the efforts of the state, international organizations, and society. Raising awareness is the first and most crucial step to preventing all forms of violence, including digital."
About a hundred people participated in the event. A rich interactive program was organized for visitors to the shopping mall:
Participants were able to test their knowledge of human rights and online safety through thematic quizzes. For active participation, they received memorable gifts and campaign symbols.
The cultural program included performances by well-known artists who supported the social initiative with their musical numbers, creating a festive atmosphere.
In addition, information booths offered visitors the opportunity to learn about mechanisms for protection against gender violence and receive consultations from specialists. This joint initiative of the city administration and the UN aims to remind about the principle of "zero tolerance" for any forms of violence.
