At a joint meeting of several committees of the Jogorku Kenesh held on December 23, Deputy Venera Salyamova (District 11) expressed regret over the absence of a state crisis center for women who have become victims of violence.
During the discussion of bills related to the republican budget, she noted: “Despite the increasing cases of violence against women, crisis centers are not being established, which deprives us of the opportunity to provide timely psychological assistance and support.”

The Deputy Head of the Cabinet added that shelters and crisis centers are being opened in various cities and regions in cooperation with the Ministry of Labor and Social Development. He also reported that this year, 21 million soms have been allocated for the funding of shelters.
As an example, Venera Salyamova mentioned that the crisis center "Kaniyet" is not functioning in the city of Manas.
