"In 2026, it is important to increase this figure to 2%, which would amount to about 12 billion soms. According to the law, 22 billion soms should be allocated. This would significantly strengthen the positions of cultural figures and contribute to the development of cultural and spiritual initiatives," she emphasized.
In response, Finance Minister Almaz Baketaev expressed doubts about the distribution of funds in percentages among departments. "The allocated funds are often not used in a timely manner. We try to meet requests for almost 90%. If more funds are needed, we are ready to consider them," he added.
Amanova stressed that the law requires adherence to established funding norms. She highlighted the importance of culture and sports, which contribute to the popularization of the country, and urged not to economize on these areas.
