At a joint meeting of the committees of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Gulnara Baatyrova raised the issue of the lack of rehabilitation centers in the regions of Kyrgyzstan.

She emphasized that there are over 221,000 citizens with disabilities living in the country, and this number continues to grow. "The existing center 'Kelechek' does not meet all the needs," she noted.

The deputy added that only a few people with disabilities can independently provide for their rehabilitation and asked the Cabinet of Ministers about plans to create new rehabilitation facilities.

In response to this statement, the head of the Cabinet of Ministers, Adylbek Kasymaliev, reported that there are plans to construct and open new rehabilitation centers. Currently, efforts are being made to find potential sponsors to finance these projects. "This issue is a priority, and we recognize the importance of creating such institutions," he added.
