Deputy of the Bishkek City Council Taalaibek Surapbaev, representing the party "Jaanı Kүch – New Force," raised the issue of the shortage of ambulance stations in the capital during the session.

He noted that considering the population of 1.5 million people, the number of operational ambulance stations is clearly insufficient. Furthermore, according to him, there are only eight dispatchers functioning in the city, which poses a serious problem, especially in the context of the Hong Kong flu epidemic.

In response, Bishkek's Deputy Mayor Viktoria Mozgacheva stated that issues related to ambulances are not included in the Social Protection Development Program for 2026-2028. This is due to the fact that in January 2024, the Cabinet of Ministers transferred all functions, including coordination, to the Ministry of Health.

Mozgacheva added that the city administration has repeatedly contacted the Ministry of Health regarding this issue. As an example, she mentioned the clinic in Kok-Jar, where an ambulance substation was opened, but vehicles are still lacking. According to her, the ministry promised to address this problem next year as part of the preparations for the World Nomad Games, planning to procure new vehicles for the city.

Surapbaev also noted that the need to repair the dispatch center and increase the number of dispatchers to 30-40 people had previously been raised, as eight dispatchers are unable to effectively serve a population of 1.5 million people. He urged that these aspects be taken into account in the social protection program.
