Contractors face difficulties in receiving their funds

During a discussion at the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh Committee on International Affairs, Defense, and Security, Deputy Shaiyrbek Tashiev raised the issue of financial delays faced by private companies involved in road construction. He noted that the Ministry of Finance is delaying the allocation of funds and asked Minister Almaz Baketaev about the timeline for the arrival of the money.

The Minister of Finance, in turn, pointed out that the problem lies not within their agency, but in the fact that the Ministry of Transport submits requests late.

“The Ministry of Transport indeed owes 8 billion soms. This year we are reviewing other budget items and will be able to allocate 3 billion soms to the Ministry of Transport to settle the debts,” added Almaz Baketaev.
