The information was announced by the Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce.
Currently, a draft agreement between Kyrgyzstan and Japan is being considered, aimed at eliminating double taxation and preventing tax evasion. This is being discussed in the Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh on international affairs, defense, security, and migration.
Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce Iskender Asylkulov, presenting this agreement to the deputies, emphasized that its signing will create the necessary conditions for attracting Japanese investments into the economy of Kyrgyzstan.
He also noted that there are already 33 companies with Japanese capital registered in the country, which contributed about 7 million soms to the budget in taxes in 2024. The main part of their activities is related to virtual assets.
Special attention was paid to the fact that Japanese investors are exploring the possibility of opening a bank in Kyrgyzstan with Japanese funds. The Deputy Minister added that the implementation of the agreement could accelerate this process and contribute to the further development of economic cooperation between the two countries.
