Isabekov noted that it is time to reduce the shadow economy in this sector and move towards more transparent business practices.
According to him, only 9,000 workers, according to official statistics, pay income tax and insurance contributions, which highlights the problem of insufficient registration of workers in the sector.
The official emphasized that the reforms being implemented do not involve increasing tax rates. The main goal is to bring entrepreneurs out of the shadows and expand the tax base.
In addition, Kubanychbek Isabekov mentioned the existing systemic problems in the sewing industry, including difficulties with product exports. He noted that entrepreneurs face certain barriers at the borders with Russia and Kazakhstan.
