This tool is aimed at reducing emissions and promoting 'green financing
A two-day seminar dedicated to the implementation of 'Green Taxonomy' was held at the Ministry of Economy and Commerce — a system that helps to determine which economic activities are considered environmentally sustainable and can qualify for 'green financing.
The seminar was organized with the support of GIZ and brought together participants from government agencies, banks, microfinance institutions, business associations, and international organizations.
During the event, international experience and the possibilities of adapting the taxonomy for Kyrgyzstan were discussed in areas such as banking, statistics, ecology, tax, and customs regulation. Special attention was paid to how this system can contribute to reducing carbon dioxide emissions and attracting investments in environmentally friendly projects.
