The Bishkek city hall confirmed that a sanitary felling of trees is taking place on Mahatma Gandhi Street. According to information from the municipality, both emergency and dry trees are subject to removal.
Experts noted that most of these trees are affected by the longhorn beetle, which has led to their weakening and decay.
In addition, city hall representatives emphasized that such trees can pose a danger to pedestrians and drivers. Removal is necessary to prevent branches or trunks from falling onto the roadway and sidewalks.
