The Justice Council of Kyrgyzstan has completed the selection of candidates for the positions of judges of the Constitutional and Supreme Courts, as well as local courts, allowing more than 280 individuals to participate in the competition. Four candidates were unable to pass the selection due to deficiencies in their documents and non-compliance with the requirements.

According to the press service of the Council, the review of all applications from participants who submitted documents for the vacant judge positions has recently been completed.

Nine people are competing for one vacancy on the Constitutional Court, while twelve are vying for two vacancies on the Supreme Court.

Each of these candidates has been admitted to the competitive selection.

According to the Council, 265 candidates submitted documents for 13 positions in local courts. As a result of the preliminary review, 260 of them passed the selection; however, one participant decided to withdraw their candidacy.

Four candidates were not admitted to the competition: one did not achieve the required score in the previous selection, and the period during which they cannot participate has not yet expired. Another candidate submitted an incomplete set of documents, while two others do not meet the criteria of integrity.

The Council noted that the process of further selection will continue in accordance with the established rules.
