On March 10, the Minister of Construction, Architecture, and Housing and Communal Services Nurdana Oruntaev laid a time capsule symbolizing the beginning of the construction of a new school for 650 students in the residential area of "Ak-Bata" in the Sverdlovsk district of Bishkek.

Attending the ceremony were Bishkek Mayor Aibek Junushaliev, deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh, as well as local residents and representatives of the authorities.

In his address, the minister emphasized the importance of developing educational infrastructure as one of the main directions of state policy. He noted that the construction of the new educational institution will provide comfortable conditions for the education of children from "Ak-Bata." Oruntaev also added that efforts to reduce the shortage of schools and ensure modern educational standards will continue.

According to the project documentation, the new school will occupy an area of 5,300 square meters on a plot of land measuring 1.08 hectares. It will accommodate 650 students, with the possibility of expanding to 1,300 places, and will consist of three blocks. The two-story building will be equipped with modern educational facilities.

It is worth noting that, considering the seismic activity of the region, the building's structure will be reinforced for stability against earthquakes of up to 9 points. Additionally, due to soil conditions, the foundation pit will be excavated to a depth of up to 8.8 meters, and the foundation will be strengthened using special technology.

Construction work is being monitored by the Ministry of Construction, with the contractor being OsOO "GradStroyResurs."
