At a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, President Sadyr Japarov stated that among the ten candidates nominated for the position of head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, nine have ties to corruption.
“I was forced to ask the question: is there really not a single incorruptible candidate left? We both came to the people with a promise of honest work. It is our duty to work for the good of the state and to fight against corruption. These promises must be fulfilled,” he addressed the deputies.
As the head of state noted, the country faces many challenges. He emphasized that in the next 10–15 years, it is necessary to strive to be among the 30 most developed economies in the world.
In addition, Sadyr Japarov pointed out the current unstable situation in the world and stressed the importance of unity in work, which should be directed solely for the benefit of the people and the state, rather than personal interests.
