In Bishkek, a decision has been made to abandon the construction of a nine-story building on the site located behind the city hall. Instead, a project for the construction of an underground parking facility will be implemented. This was announced at a meeting of the permanent commission of the Bishkek City Council on municipal property, land management, urban planning, and architecture by Deputy Mayor Azamat Kadyrov.

Deputy Almaz Askar uulu from the "El ümütü" faction raised the question about the future of this project.

According to Kadyrov, the initial plans for the construction of a multi-story building have been revised.

“An underground parking facility will be created at this location, as well as a landscaped area. Above it, a park for residents will be established,” the deputy mayor specified.

Thus, instead of a nine-story building, a parking area for cars with a recreation zone above it will be organized on the territory behind the city hall.

It was previously reported that work has begun to prepare for the construction of a new municipal administrative building on the site of the closed parking lot near the current city hall on Kyiv Street.
