The Cabinet has allocated 30 hectares in the village of Baytik for the construction of a student campus for KRSU. Deputy Seid Atambaev is questioning the possible ownership of this territory by local residents.

According to Bekbosun Borubashev, Deputy Minister of Science, Higher Education, and Innovations, the plot was allocated by GAUGI.

Borubashev noted: "Currently, it is difficult to find land in Kyrgyzstan that is not owned by someone. However, this issue has already been resolved, and negotiations were held with the ayil okmotu. I have not visited this plot myself, but I was informed that it is located in a field after the arch, to the right, not far from the village of Baytik."

It is worth reminding that according to the agreement between Kyrgyzstan and Russia, KRSU named after Boris Yeltsin will be relocating to the outskirts of Bishkek. The allocated area of 30 hectares is planned for the construction of educational buildings, dormitories for students and staff, a sports ground, a swimming pool, as well as an educational school associated with KRSU. The Kyrgyz side will provide the land for indefinite use and will take care of the construction of roads and engineering networks, while the Russian side will build the campus itself. Work will start this year and is expected to be completed by 2032.
