At the meeting of the Education Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh, held on March 16, Bekbosun Borubashev announced plans to construct a student campus for KRSU in the village of Baytik. As part of this project, the Kyrgyz side will provide a land plot and will also take care of the construction of roads and necessary engineering communications, while the Russian side will be responsible for the construction of the campus itself.

The committee is discussing the ratification of an agreement for the construction of a new university campus for KRSU. The land will remain the property of Kyrgyzstan but will be transferred to the university for indefinite use.

During the discussion, Deputy Seid Atambaev expressed doubts about the potential burden on the country's budget and also inquired about the size of the allocated area for the project.

Borubashev clarified that the allocated area is 30 hectares, although the actual size is slightly smaller. "According to estimates, the market value of this land is about $30 million. It is difficult to say whether this is a lot or a little, as much depends on the level of the campus. The project includes a swimming pool, sports grounds, dormitories, housing for three thousand staff members, as well as educational buildings, reading rooms, lecture halls, and assembly halls. There is also a plan to build a school. Therefore, I believe that 30 hectares is not that much. For comparison, the Kyrgyz-Turkish University 'Manas' was allocated 85 hectares, while our project only involves a third of that area. I am confident that this facility will be beneficial in the future," emphasized the Deputy Minister.
