
On March 21, the celebration of Nowruz will take place in the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, and local authorities have shared details about how this event will unfold in different districts of the city.
Sverdlovsky District
Festive events in the Sverdlovsky District are planned in the Karagacheva Grove from 12:00 to 16:00. Traditional yurts will be set up here, exhibitions showcasing folk customs will be organized, as well as concert performances by creative groups and diasporas. Visitors can expect sports competitions, master classes in folk crafts, and a fair featuring national dishes.
Oktyabrsky District
In the Oktyabrsky District, festive events will unfold in the "Yntymak-2" park. A concert featuring children from the "Shayir Balalyk" Children's Creativity Center will take place here, along with national and sports games, including chess, tug-of-war, toguz korgool, darts, football, and volleyball. Additionally, creative master classes, an exhibition of works, and entertainment for children and adults are planned.
Leninsky District
The celebration in the Leninsky District will take place at the "Gazprom - for Children" sports complex in the "Archa-Beshik" residential area starting at 14:00. Guests can look forward to concerts, demonstrations of national traditions, an ethnic village made of yurts, thematic exhibitions, and master classes. Also, in the "Ashar" park in the "Ak-Orgo" area, yurts will be set up from 15:00, along with an ethnic buffet, sports games, and cultural and entertainment activities.
May Day District
Festive events in the May Day District will take place in the "Ak-Bosogo" residential area, where traditional yurts will be set up. Folk games, demonstrations of customs, and a concert program are also planned here. Visitors will be treated to national dishes, creating an atmosphere of spring renewal and hospitality.
"Dear citizens and guests of the capital! We invite everyone to participate in the festive events to celebrate the day of the spring equinox together, enjoy music, games, master classes, and delicious food, immersing yourselves in the atmosphere of national traditions," the city administration addressed the residents.
