
On March 21, residents of Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, will be able to celebrate the spring holiday of Nowruz by participating in various festivities and events, as reported by the press service of the mayor's office.
In the Sverdlovsk district, celebrations will take place in the Karagacheva grove from 12:00 to 16:00. Yurts will be set up here, where guests can learn about the traditions and lifestyle of the Kyrgyz people. Performances by creative groups and diasporas, sports competitions, workshops on folk crafts, and a fair featuring national dishes are also planned.
The Oktyabrsky district will offer celebrations in the "Yntymak-2" park, where students from the "Shayir Balalyk" Children's Creativity Center will participate. The program includes national and sports games such as chess, tug-of-war, toguz korgool, darts, as well as relays, football, and volleyball. Additionally, workshops and an exhibition of works, along with entertainment activities for all ages, are planned.
In the Lenin district, events will begin at 14:00 at the "Gazprom - Children" sports complex in the Archa-Beshik residential area. Guests can expect concerts, demonstrations of national rituals, an ethnovillage made of yurts, and thematic exhibitions with workshops.
Also, in the "Ashar" park in the Ak-Orgo residential area, yurts will be set up from 15:00, along with an ethnofeast, sports games, and cultural entertainment.
In the Pervomaisky district, the holiday will be celebrated in the Ak-Bosogo residential area. Here, there will also be an opportunity to see yurts, participate in folk games, enjoy traditional rituals and a concert program, as well as taste national dishes.
