The woman has already reached out to various medical institutions abroad in search of treatment for her son.
“Clinics in Germany were not accessible to me, but in India and Turkey, I was offered the same surgery. So we decided to head to Turkey, but we still lack funds,” Gulkanysh shares.
At the moment, she lives in her parents' house and cannot work, as Atai requires constant and special care.
“I haven’t worked for four years and live on my parents' funds. They are retirees; my mother has a visual disability and chronic illnesses. We live on their pension and various benefits. Sometimes food is limited to just tea and bread, and sometimes there is none at all. All the money goes to Atai's treatment,” Gulkanysh recounts.
Although relatives help, their support is not always enough. I wouldn’t wish anyone to live on donations and depend on others.“I no longer have the opportunity to seek help. I ask all kind people for support to save my son,” she added.
