Islam and Madina, both 23 years old, have been building their family since their youth. While raising their children, Sumaya and Yasuma, they faced financial difficulties, which forced Islam to go to Russia for work. He worked as a painter, hoping to save money for housing. Madina, after enrolling the children in kindergarten, works as a seamstress. However, they recently learned about the need for an expensive operation for Sumaya.

Sumaya has been diagnosed with complex scoliosis, which makes it difficult for her to move, and she spends most of her time sitting or lying down.

Madina, Sumaya's mother, shares: "We had no idea about the illness, despite regular check-ups. When Sumaya turned one, a lump appeared on her back, and we immediately consulted doctors. We were advised to try massage, claiming that the lump would disappear on its own. But the massage did not yield results, and her condition worsened."

Sumaya's shoulder began to drop, and she started dragging one leg. The lump on her back did not go away.

After consulting orthopedic specialists, the parents learned the exact diagnosis - congenital scoliosis. Following the doctors' recommendations, they hoped for improvement, but their daughter's condition continued to deteriorate.

"We realized that we needed to consult professors in Turkey. They said that surgery is the only solution, and the sooner we perform it, the better it will be for Sumaya's growth and development. We also learned about an extra bone on her vertebra, which is also related to her condition," adds the mother.

Unfortunately, the parents cannot afford the surgery, so they are forced to seek help from the community and organize a fundraising campaign.

"If we had a house, we would sell it and not start a fundraiser. But, unfortunately, we do not have that opportunity," notes Madina.

The curvature of the spine has already led to significant changes in the girl's body: one shoulder has dropped lower than the other, and one leg is shorter.

Madina shares: "We did not know that scoliosis could have so many consequences. We underwent examinations and treatments to help our daughter grow healthy. But we had no idea that spinal curvature could press on internal organs and cause severe pain. That’s why we are in a hurry with the surgery."

We are asking for help from everyone who cares. Like any parents, we dream of our child being healthy.
