According to information presented on the program "Elden Sobol" by the agency "Kabar," more than 1800 families have already expressed their desire to start their own business with government support starting from early 2026. This data was provided by Zhalyn Toktosunov, a leading specialist in the Employment Promotion Department of the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection, and Migration of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Currently, the ministry has signed social contracts with 607 families, while the remaining applications are under review by special commissions.
The agency aims to cover 13,333 families under the program by the end of 2026.
Additionally, the amount of grant assistance has been increased. Zhalyn Toktosunov noted that at the beginning of the project, participants were provided with 100,000 soms, but this amount was revised starting in 2025.
“Considering the level of inflation and for a more successful start of small businesses, the amount of the payment has been increased to 150,000 soms,” the specialist added.
