At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh on March 18, Deputy Tabyldy Muratbekov raised the issue of the need to replace the kalpak in the London museum.

He noted that although this may seem insignificant, it is an important aspect. "The British Museum is one of the largest museums in London, and a kalpak is displayed there. Many social media users express the opinion that this kalpak is outdated and does not properly reflect our national level. The kalpak is not just a headdress, but a symbol of our culture. Therefore, I believe that our cultural heritage should be presented in the best light. I urge the relevant authorities and diplomatic channels to address the replacement of this kalpak," the deputy stated.
