The third round of the national football championship (CPL) for the 2026 season has concluded, and the last matchday was full of unexpected results: both games ended in a draw, with the outcomes determined at the very end of the matches.
At the Manas stadium, "Özgön" and the capital's team "Alga" staged a real shootout, finishing with a score of 2:2. The hosts took the lead twice thanks to a double from Ramin Akhmadov (14th and 59th minutes), but the Alga team did not give up. First, Zaimenko equalized in the 27th minute, and in stoppage time, in the 90th minute, Khomutov saved "Alga" from defeat by scoring the second goal.
In Bishkek, "Asiagol" and "Talant" also could not determine the stronger team, finishing their encounter with a score of 1:1. Prudnikov put his team ahead in the 27th minute, and it seemed that the minimal advantage would hold until the end, but in added time (90+2), David Polanco scored, saving "Talant" from defeat.
Earlier in this round, the reigning champion "Bars," which has changed its name, achieved a hard-fought victory over "Toktogul" with a score of 2:1. The central match of the round also ended with the same result, where "Muras United" narrowly defeated Kant's "Abdysh-Ata" in a tense battle.
However, the main sensation of this round was the defeat of the famous club "Dordoi," which lost to "Bishkek City" with a score of 1:3, significantly changing the balance of power at the top of the table.
