This decision was made at the initiative of local residents and with the support of President Sadyr Japarov.
The schedule of events at the Old Square is as follows:
- 07:00-07:30 – reading of the Quran;
- 07:30-07:40 – moderator Shukur Azhy Ismailov;
- 07:40-08:10 – religious sermons by Zholdoshbek Azhy Abdildaev and Bakyt Azhy Kaiykev;
- 08:10-08:30 – speech by the Supreme Mufti on the order and rules of performing the Eid prayer;
- 08:20-08:30 – formation into rows;
- 08:30-08:50 – performance of the Eid prayer and festive prayer.
- 07:30-08:00 – reading of the Quran;
- 08:00-08:25 – religious sermons;
- 08:25-08:30 – explanation of the order and rules of performing the Eid prayer;
- 08:30 – performance of the Eid prayer.
It is worth noting that in recent years, the Eid prayer in Bishkek has been held exclusively in mosques, which was related to issues of safety and public health.
