The decision was made due to the worsening situation with epizootics in Russia
A mass vaccination of livestock has been announced in Kazakhstan on an emergency basis, as reported by Kanat Bozumbaev, the Deputy Prime Minister of the country.
He noted that this measure was prompted by the deteriorating epizootic situation in Russia. In particular, a mass culling and slaughter of livestock is being observed in the Novosibirsk region due to the spread of a dangerous infection.
"We have decided to urgently procure vaccines through the Ministry of Agriculture. The vaccination will cover all livestock, and veterinary safety measures will be strengthened, especially at the border," Bozumbaev added.
