
Street trading and the deplorable condition of the Orto-Sai Market have led to dismissals in the Bishkek city administration.
After a meeting dedicated to the issues of the Orto-Sai Market, several high-ranking officials were dismissed from the Bishkek city administration.
The city leadership expressed dissatisfaction with the state of the market and the lack of control over street trading.
As a result of the meeting, the following officials were dismissed:
- Kubandyk Akmatbekov — Head of the Organizational and Control Work Department;
- Zhanybek Orozaliev — Akim of the October District;
- Mayrambek Adylbekov — First Deputy Akim of the October District.
In addition, several other officials received disciplinary actions for ineffective performance of their duties:
- Warnings were issued to Deputy Mayors Azamat Kadyrov and Ramiz Aliyev;
- Reprimands were given to the head of the Municipal Enterprise "City Road and Transport Infrastructure" Asylbek uulu Bakay and the head of the Municipal Inspection Mirlanbek Talaybekov.
There is also an initiated review of the compliance of the position held by the head of the Economics and Finance Department of the October District Administration.
