Residents of Bishkek's new buildings have started creating mini-parks on their own
In the Baykay-Ata district, an active ecological program aimed at improving the landscaping of new buildings in Bishkek has begun. Local residents, joining forces with volunteers, held the first community cleanup day, during which they planted trees, marking the beginning of the formation of cozy recreation areas in the private sector.

The project includes comprehensive landscaping of the areas. In the new mini-parks, in addition to planting deciduous trees, shrubs, and perennials, there are plans to install benches and bins. The main goal of the initiative's participants is to create a comfortable urban atmosphere and increase green spaces in residential areas where park zones are lacking.

The organizers have prepared a schedule for upcoming events and invite everyone interested to participate in the greening activities. The nearest plantings are scheduled for the following residential areas:

March 27 - Ak-Ordo-2 and Ak-Ordo-3

March 28 - Ak-Ordo-1

March 29 - Rukhiy-Muras

April 4 - Kalyis-Ordo

April 5 - Muras-Ordo

This initiative is being carried out by the Resource Center for the Elderly with the support of the Danish NGO A More Inclusive Society (AMIS). Anyone who wants to help create green zones or join the work can find out more by calling 0755 955 001.
