The Bishkek City Hall announced which parks and squares will be renovated in 2026

The improvement will cover all districts of the capital — from central boulevards to residential areas.

In 2026, Bishkek is set to undergo a large-scale renovation of parks and squares, which will be carried out by the municipal enterprise Bishkekzelenstroy in collaboration with district administrations.

The plans encompass all corners of the city. In the Lenin district, updates are expected in several squares and public spaces, including Chortekov Street, Young Guard Boulevard, Chapayev Park, as well as the Sukhomlinov Square (Journalists' Alley), near the "Manas" cinema and next to the Chui Regional Drama and Satire Theater named after Sharsen Termechikov.

In the Pervomaisky district, attention will be focused on key public areas such as Dubovy Park and Erkindik Boulevard, where work has already begun. Additionally, the "Fish" fountain, "Elephants" square, and Togolok Moldo square will be renovated. New squares are also planned to be created on Profsoyuznaya Street and near school No. 54.

The Sverdlovsk district will see the renovation of parks such as "40 Years of Kyrgyzstan," "Red Builder," and "Kozh Zavod." Simultaneously, new green zones will emerge in the Ak-Bata residential area, "Energy Workers' Town," at the intersection of Chui Avenue and BChK, as well as on the site of the former "Dan" market. Additional squares will be created in the Alamedin-1 microdistrict, the village of Vostochnaya, and between the "Dordoy" and "Enesai" residential areas.

In the Oktyabrsky district, the focus is on creating new public spaces. Squares will appear in microdistricts No. 12, No. 8, No. 10, No. 6, No. 7, No. 3, No. 4, and No. 5, as well as in the "Kok Zhar" and "Kyrman" residential areas. Furthermore, a park is planned to be built at the intersection of Ankara and Auezov streets, along with the improvement of the area in the Tunguch microdistrict.

According to the city hall, during the renovation process, green plantings will be updated, pedestrian zones will be arranged, lighting will be installed, and small architectural forms will be added. The main goal of these works is to create modern and comfortable conditions for the leisure of the capital's residents in all its districts.
