Deputy Kazybek Ergeshov reminded of the recent promises made by the mayor regarding the comprehensive reconstruction of the Big Chui Canal (BCC), who promised to complete all work within a month. "Why have the promises not been fulfilled?" he exclaimed.
In response, Deputy Mayor Azamat Kadyrov explained that work has already begun. In the first stage, the riverbeds of Ala-Archa and Alamedin, as well as the BCC, were cleaned.
“At the moment, sketch projects are ready. After the project and estimate documentation is completed, we will move on to implementation. Improvement of the embankments along the rivers and canals will begin in spring or even at the end of winter. At the same time, work will be carried out to strengthen the banks. This is a labor-intensive process, so it takes time. The demolition of illegal constructions along the riverbeds is also ongoing, with more than 300 objects already dismantled,” Kadyrov added.
Kazybek Ergeshov expressed dissatisfaction: “Before promising the improvement of the embankments within a month, financial capabilities should be taken into account. People have been waiting,” he noted.
According to him, 40 million soms have been allocated from the republican budget for the improvement along the BCC.
It should be noted that as early as 2024, specialists from the Municipal Enterprise "Bishkekglavarkhitektura" developed a concept for the development of urban embankments, including the rivers Ala-Archa and Alamedin, as well as the BCC and South BCC.
