
The program will primarily focus on the reconstruction and construction of 127 roads, including 12 new projects and 115 existing ones that will undergo reconstruction.


According to Beyshenbaev, this will be one of the largest stages of modernization of the street network in the capital in recent years.
As part of this program, the creation of three overhead and 20 underground pedestrian crossings is also planned.
In addition, in 2026, repairs will be made to 29 streets, which includes the renewal of sidewalks with a total length of 28.1 kilometers.


Plans also include the construction of a transport interchange at the intersection of Lev Tolstoy and Molodaya Gvardiya streets, as well as the extension of Mederov Street to Chingiz Aitmatov Street. The extension of the section from Valikhanov Street and Chuy Avenue through the canal to Kolbaev Street is also planned.
The construction of six bridges will also play an important role in the project, which will significantly relieve traffic flows and increase the capacity of urban highways.
The priority will be roads connecting to the Eastern bypass road.
The following projects are planned for implementation:
- Sukhé-Bator Street from Auezov Street to the boundary of the designed road;
- Zhukejeva-Pudovkina Street from Sukhé-Bator Street to Balik Kumara Street;
- Imanaliev Street from Zhukejeva-Pudovkina Street to April 7 Street;
- Puteprovodnaya Street (Lev Tolstoy) from Auezov Street to the boundary of the designed road;
- Akhunbaev Street to the intersection with the planned highway on Auezov Street.


The city authorities also plan to develop bicycle infrastructure, creating conditions for the use of alternative modes of transportation.
In addition, 625 new buses will be purchased to renew the city’s vehicle fleet and improve the quality of public transport.
