On January 1, 2026, the Mayor of Bishkek, Aibek Junushaliev, officially opened the construction of underground passages and modern stops on Chyngyz Aitmatov Avenue. This information was announced at the capital's mayor's office.
As part of the project, four underground passages are planned to be built along the section from Semetey Street to A. Masaliev Avenue. One of the passages has already been put into operation. Additionally, 16 new stops that meet modern requirements will be installed along the stretch from Akhunbaev Street to Semetey Street.

The head of the capital instructed all involved services to ensure high-quality work and strictly adhere to deadlines to provide maximum convenience for the residents.
The work started during the holiday period to minimize the load on the transport system and reduce inconveniences for the residents.
