The issue of future road construction in the city was raised by deputy Elmira Dosalieva.
According to Ulanbek Beishenbaev, director of the city department of transport and road infrastructure development, this year road construction work is planned on three sections: Suhe-Bator Street from 7 April to Auezov, Akhunbaev Street from Dostoevsky to Auezov, and Duyshiev Street from Zhukeiev-Pudovkin to Abdrakhmanov.
Previously, the mayor of the capital held a meeting with residents of Novopavlovka, which was annexed to Bishkek, to discuss the project for the construction of Profsoyuznaya Street. This reconstruction is part of a plan to create an alternative route to Manas Airport.
Aybek Junushaliev emphasized the importance of this road for the infrastructure: Profsoyuznaya Street will help alleviate congestion in the area where the only bypass road is unable to handle the flow of vehicles, forcing public transport drivers to seek alternative routes.
