The concert program was prepared with the help of vocal and dance instructors — Lunara Jumabek, Tynara Jumabaeva, and Khalida Dodobaeva, who assist in developing the participants' creative skills.
After the performances, those present continued to socialize over a cup of tea.
The "Active Longevity" program was launched in the fall of 2024 under the Department of Social Development of the Bishkek City Hall and aims to support elderly people, promoting their active lifestyle.
As part of the project, free classes in Kyrgyz and English languages, digital literacy courses, creative workshops, as well as gymnastics, yoga, and Nordic walking sessions are conducted.
As reported by Batma Estebesova, a doctor in the "Active Longevity" department and director of the Public Fund "Socium," participation in the program helps expand social circles and maintain the activity of elderly people.
To date, more than 260 retirees from Bishkek are familiar with the program, and about 60 people regularly participate in classes and events.
The organizers emphasize that all interested elderly people can join the program.
