
As a result of accidents, 284 people died due to the actions of drivers, and 46 due to the actions of pedestrians.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan made a statement urging drivers to exercise caution on the roads, especially near pedestrian crossings and educational institutions.
According to statistics published by the police, last year there were 2,853 incidents involving pedestrian accidents in the country. These accidents resulted in the deaths of 284 people and injuries to 2,829 others.
Additionally, the Ministry of Internal Affairs also addressed pedestrians with recommendations to strictly adhere to traffic rules, cross the road only at designated places, and exercise heightened vigilance. In 2025, there were 342 traffic accidents in which pedestrians were at fault; as a result of these incidents, 46 people died, and 311 were injured.
