The reconstruction of Atatürk Park, which began in August 2025, is entering its final phase. Residents will be able to appreciate the updated project as early as May-June — the space will become modern and convenient while preserving its natural atmosphere.
The sound of machinery can be heard along the alleys, and the outlines of the new park are already visible. New pedestrian paths covering a total area of 77,000 square meters have been created, and areas for sports and workout activities are being arranged.
The previously dense thickets of trees are giving way to infrastructure for recreation and walks. Workers from the municipal enterprise "Bishkekzelenstroy" are trying to preserve as many green spaces as possible, removing only dead trees and replacing them with new trees and shrubs.

The central alley attracts special attention: a new modern fountain has been installed here, and in the evenings, the space will be illuminated with soft light.
In the depths of the park, the construction of stables is nearing completion, where horses and ponies will move in the near future. This area for hippotherapy will become an important part of the project for people with disabilities.

Rustam Toktaliev, deputy director of the contracting company carrying out the work, reported that plans include the creation of small facilities necessary for the park's operation. In addition to the stable, the project includes a recreation center for yoga and chess (approximately 600 square meters), a museum near the monument to Afghan soldiers, and an administrative building for park staff.
According to him, there will be no large attractions in the park — it will be focused on walks. Perhaps only small swings for young children will be installed.
Engineering works are also actively continuing: two wells have been drilled to create an artificial pond and irrigation system. The length of the canal system has increased to 4.5 kilometers, which will help solve the water supply problem in the summer.
Rustam Toktaliev noted that many decisions were made with the convenience of city residents in mind. "We laid the first layer of asphalt back in October to make it comfortable for people to move around. There were complaints on social media about the condition of the asphalt, but this is just the first layer — we did this for convenience, so people wouldn't walk in the mud. The work is now nearing completion, and soon a new layer will be laid," he added.
The reconstruction of the park is under constant control of the city authorities, including Mayor Aibek Junushaliev, who has repeatedly inspected the progress of the work. It is expected that high-ranking guests will attend the opening of the updated park in May-June.
The final touches are close to completion, and according to the contractors, residents will be satisfied with the result. "When we finish, it will be beautiful. People will definitely like it," concluded Rustam Toktaliev.
