As a result of the work of the Jayil District Prosecutor's Office, nine orphaned children received land plots and corresponding state acts certifying their right to private ownership for housing construction.
Violations of children's rights were identified during the inspection of compliance with legislation concerning the protection of orphans' rights and housing standards. It was found that measures to provide this category of citizens with land plots had not been taken in a timely manner.
In connection with the identified violations, a prosecutor's response act was sent to the Ak-Bashat rural administration. Following its review, all violations were rectified.
According to Article 13 of the Children's Code of the Kyrgyz Republic and Article 43 of the Housing Code, the state is obliged to provide orphans and children without parental care with housing. If they do not have housing, they have the right to priority provision of living space upon reaching the age of 16.
