The press service of the General Prosecutor's Office reported that land plots were allocated to orphaned children in the Jayil District.
The agency conducted an inspection, focusing on compliance with legislation regarding the rights of orphaned children and children left without parental care. During this inspection, violations were identified related to insufficient measures for the timely provision of land plots to children, which led to the issuance of a prosecutor's response act addressed to the local administration of the Ak-Bashat Ayil Okmotu.
As a result of the consideration of this act, the rights of the children were restored: nine children left without parental care were provided with land plots, and they were also handed state acts confirming their private ownership rights to these plots for the construction of residential houses.
In accordance with paragraph 13 of the Code of the Kyrgyz Republic on Children and Article 43 of the Housing Code, the state is obliged to provide housing for this category of citizens. Orphaned children without their own housing have the right to priority provision of residential space upon reaching the age of 16 in accordance with the established legal procedure.
