The meeting of Deputy Prosecutor General Zalkarbek Aknaazarov with representatives of the International Monetary Fund mission took place as part of discussions on strategic cooperation.
According to the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office, key issues were addressed at the meeting, such as the fight against corruption, organized crime, tax offenses, and other criminal activities. Emphasis was also placed on the need to enhance the effectiveness of investigations related to the legalization of illegal income.
During the discussions, special attention was given to the implementation of the anti-corruption strategy for 2025-2030, cooperation with financial intelligence agencies, and the investigation of complex cross-border financial crimes. Strengthening the institutional capabilities of the prosecutor's office also became an important topic for dialogue. Following the meeting, the parties noted the need for constructive communication and expressed their intention to continue developing cooperation," the statement emphasizes.
