The legendary Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo is preparing for his sixth World Cup, which will take place in the United States, Mexico, and Canada. Since his debut in this tournament in 2006 in Germany, he has not missed a single World Cup. Now, at almost 41 years old, Ronaldo has stated that this summer may be his last at the World Cups.

During a video conference from the national team training camp in Oeiras (Lisbon) at the Saudi TOURISE tourism forum, he smiled and remarked: "My last World Cup? Definitely. I will be 41, and I think this is the moment — although, who knows… I am enjoying this time."

In response to speculation about a possible career ending, Ronaldo stated that he does not plan to retire anytime soon.

"Retiring soon? That will happen in about ten years," he joked. "People think that when I say 'soon', it means in six months or a year - I'm joking! When you're over forty, you start counting the months faster," he added.

He has already scored eight goals in World Cups, and now he aims to help Portugal secure a spot in the upcoming tournament. For that, the team needs to achieve at least one victory in the November matches against Ireland in Dublin or Armenia at the Estádio do Dragão.

Despite his age, Ronaldo is showing excellent results playing for Al Nassr and the Portuguese national team. He recently extended his contract with the club until 2027 and is now focused on a new goal — reaching 1000 career goals.

Ronaldo concluded: "I try to enjoy every goal I score. I am 40, and I am just enjoying the moment and continuing to move forward. My body feels good. I score and help the team. I want to win trophies. This is my life."
