Roger Federer Inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame

The famous Swiss tennis player Roger Federer will receive honorary membership in the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 2026. The ceremony will take place from August 27 to 29 in Newport.

Federer is a holder of 20 Grand Slam titles and a record eight victories at Wimbledon, as well as the second-longest leader in the world rankings with 310 weeks. He ranks second in the number of ATP tournament wins with 103 trophies, second only to Jimmy Connors.

The news of his induction into the Hall of Fame was announced to the athlete during a masterclass for young tennis players. This video call included 20 tennis legends, among them Kim Clijsters, Boris Becker, Stefan Edberg, Martina Navratilova, and Billie Jean King. They congratulated Federer and highlighted his significant contribution to the development of tennis and the popularization of the sport.

"For me, it is a great honor to be part of the Hall of Fame and to be alongside legendary champions. I look forward to traveling to Newport to celebrate this wonderful moment with the tennis community," Federer noted.
