Currently, eight Kyrgyz players in kok-boru, including Manas Niyazov, Omurbek Esen uulu, Rustam Tynaliev, Kubanych Sultan uulu, Dastan Ruslanov, Iskhak Bekbolot uulu, Askhat Askarov, and Bayaman Muralim uulu, are in Afghanistan. This was reported by the Kyrgyz Republic Federation for Kok-boru.

Last year, Kyrgyz ulakchi, along with players from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, participated in a tournament in Afghanistan, playing as part of local teams. The winning team then included Kubanych Sultan uulu and Dastan Ruslanov.

“Recently, another tournament took place, to which only Kuban players were invited at the request of local fans. This time, foreign participants did not take part. In total, eight ulakchi were distributed among local teams and continue to showcase their skills,” the federation reported.

The players from Kyrgyzstan have been in Afghanistan since December 10, demonstrating their mastery to the local audience.

Additionally, the federation noted that in Afghanistan, kok-boru is called “buzkashi,” and this game is very popular here.
