According to media reports, a kok-boru tournament took place in the area over the weekend, organized by participants from Kyrgyzstan and other Central Asian countries, promising a prize of 100,000 rubles. Local residents expressed their dissatisfaction, stating that they were "shocked by the brutal competition."
According to preliminary estimates from witnesses, about 300 people participated in the competition. Tents, prayer areas, and even stands were set up at the event location. Similar events took place on November 2 and 9, the media reports.
