According to information from the federation, among the winners were Kyrgyz athletes: Begimai Abdygazieva (in the category up to 48 kg), Aydai Kurbanbek kyzy (up to 53 kg), Aydai Amangeldieva (up to 58 kg), and Saida Mambetkazieva (up to 69 kg). Also distinguished was Dinara Ibrahim from Azerbaijan (up to 63 kg), and from Kazakhstan, the prize places were taken by Ayanat Jumagali (up to 77 kg), Saniya Ormanbaeva (up to 86 kg), and Baymanap Akerke (over 86 kg).
The tournament was organized in honor of the 45th anniversary of Kanybek Osmonaliyev's triumph at the Olympic Games held in Moscow in 1980. A total of 141 athletes from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, and Tajikistan participated in the competition.
