On November 15, the VI international tournament was held in one of the billiard clubs in the capital, organized in memory of Tilek Murataliev — a well-known publisher and philanthropist, founder of the "Turar" publishing house. The competition featured 16 of the best players from Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, creating an atmosphere of intense competition.

Before the start of the tournament, the organizers and participants honored the memory of Tilek Murataliev by reading the Quran.

The honored guests were Yesen Ismailov and Akbar Ryskulov, who reminisced about Tilek Murataliev, emphasizing his significant contribution to the development of Kyrgyz culture and publishing. Ulan Murataliev, the head of the "Turar" publishing house, presented Ismailov with the medal "Person of the Era Named After Tilek Murataliev," as well as books and commemorative gifts.

The final game lasted over 10 hours, and the winner was Ulan Altymysh uulu, who was awarded the Grand Prix — the Big Crystal Cup featuring the image of Tilek Murataliev, a first-degree diploma, a gold medal, and a cash prize. Additionally, he received the medal "Person of the Era Named After Tilek Murataliev."

In second place was Associate Professor Alymbek Kushubekov, while the third place went to two-time tournament champion Avalkan Orunbaev.

The awards for the winners were presented by the tournament sponsors — friends of Tilek Murataliev's younger brother. The athlete's family expressed their sincere gratitude to them for helping preserve the memory of the outstanding public figure.

According to the People's Poet of Kyrgyzstan, Zhediger Saalay, the level of the tournament is growing every year, and the number of participants is increasing. He also noted the importance of the presence of honored guests and emphasized that the traditions established by Tilek Murataliev continue to live on.

The Murataliev brothers took on the organization of the next tournament.

On November 16, Tilek Murataliev would have turned 65. He left a significant mark on the development of national literature, publishing, and philanthropy, supporting authors, publishing the magazines "Ala-Too" and "Literary Kyrgyzstan," and providing assistance to children's institutions and cultural organizations affected by natural disasters.

His publishing house "Turar" became one of the leading ones in this field, and the literary prize "Archa," established by him in 2011, has supported many well-known writers and poets.

As the organizers note, the bright memory of Tilek Murataliev and his work will forever remain in the hearts of the people.
