The Pro Swim Series took place from January 14 to 18 in Austin, Texas. Petrashov participated in three events.
The first final event was held on January 15 in the 100-meter breaststroke. In this race, the Kyrgyzstani finished second, winning a silver medal, just 0.1 seconds behind American Matthias Vann.
Next, on January 17, the final for the 50-meter breaststroke took place. Petrashov again secured 2nd place, clocking a time of 27.12 seconds and winning silver once more, again finishing behind Vann.
On the same day, the 200-meter breaststroke event started, where Denis successfully passed the preliminary round and advanced to the final.
In the concluding race on January 18, he again took 2nd place, earning his third silver medal, finishing behind four-time Olympic champion and seven-time world champion Léon Marchand from France.
