Kyrgyz fighter in the light heavyweight category, Uran Satybaldiev, is forced to miss the upcoming UFC tournament due to a serious injury. During the final sparring sessions, the athlete injured the ligaments of his left knee. His coach, Tynchtykbek Omurzakov, reported this in an interview with Sport AKIpress.

According to Omurzakov, the athlete will undergo surgery funded by the UFC, which will take place in Las Vegas, where Satybaldiev is currently located.

“Recovery is expected to take about four months. After the surgery, when he finds it easier to move, he will return to his homeland in Kyrgyzstan,” added the coach.

Satybaldiev's next fight was scheduled for February 8 at the UFC Fight Night tournament in Las Vegas, where he was supposed to face American Julius Walker (record 7–1).
