In particular, 286 thousand citizens received a birth allowance from the republican budget totaling 51.7 billion tenge (about 8.7 billion soms). In October 2025, 28.5 thousand people applied for benefits amounting to 5.2 billion tenge (approximately 878 million soms). Citizens of Kazakhstan, kandasy, as well as foreigners with children born or adopted in the country, are entitled to these payments.
The amounts of the benefits depend on the MRP, which in 2025 is 3,932 tenge (or 665 soms), and have been increased by 6.5% since the beginning of the year.
Birth allowances:
- 149,416 tenge (38 MRP, about 25 thousand soms) for the first, second, and third child;
- 247,716 tenge (63 MRP, about 42 thousand soms) for the fourth and subsequent children.
- 22,648 tenge (5.76 MRP, about 3,800 soms) for the first child;
- 26,777 tenge (6.81 MRP, about 4,500 soms) for the second;
- 30,866 tenge (7.85 MRP, about 5,200 soms) for the third;
- 34,995 tenge (8.9 MRP, about 6,000 soms) for the fourth and subsequent children.
What benefits are available in Kyrgyzstan?
In Kyrgyzstan, there is a monthly "Үй-бүлөгө көмөк" allowance for children up to 16 years old from low-income families, whose income per person is below the minimum guaranteed income (1,000 soms). In 2025, the amount of this allowance was 1,200 soms.The Ministry of Labor, Social Protection, and Migration has developed a draft law proposing to increase the "Үй-бүлөгө көмөк" allowance by 25% — from 1,200 to 1,500 soms, and to double the minimum guaranteed income from 1,000 to 2,000 soms.
For the birth of a child in Kyrgyzstan, there is a "Балага сүйүнчү" allowance of 4,000 soms, and for the birth of three or more children at once — 50,000 soms for each of them.
Starting January 1, 2026, a one-time "Бала Береке" payment is planned for mothers of many children living in high-altitude and hard-to-reach areas, in the following amounts:
- 100,000 soms for the fourth child;
- 600,000 soms for the fifth;
- 800,000 soms for the sixth;
- 1,000,000 soms for the seventh;
- 1,200,000 soms for the eighth;
- 1,500,000 soms for the ninth;
- 2,000,000 soms (two million) for the tenth and subsequent children.
