Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan in Turkey held a meeting with Deputy Foreign Minister Musa Kulaklıkayev

On December 10, 2025, a meeting took place in Ankara between Ruslan Kazakbaev, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Turkey, and Musa Kulaklıka, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan.

During the negotiations, key aspects of Kyrgyz-Turkish cooperation were discussed, including political dialogue, trade and economic relations, and cultural initiatives, as well as plans for organizing mutual high-profile visits in 2026.

Ambassador Kazakbaev shared with the Turkish side information about the political and economic reforms being implemented in Kyrgyzstan under the leadership of President Sadyr Japarov.

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, Musa Kulaklıka, congratulated Kyrgyzstan on the successful conduct of elections to the Jogorku Kenesh, emphasizing the high level of democratic standards in the electoral process.

Additionally, the meeting addressed issues of cooperation in education and medicine, increasing trade volumes, as well as conditions for mutual travel for citizens of both countries. The parties preliminarily agreed to hold consular consultations between the ministries of foreign affairs of Kyrgyzstan and Turkey.

As a result of the meeting, both sides expressed their intention to deepen cooperation, including interaction on multilateral platforms such as the UN and the Organization of Turkic States.
