In the last decade since the birth of an independent state, numerous problems that had been brewing for many decades have intensified. During the years of Soviet power, the Kyrgyz people lost much of the moral values that had been carefully passed down from generation to generation over the preceding centuries. The leveling of national distinctiveness and the orientation towards the values of the Soviet totalitarian regime led to the perception of domestic culture as second-rate.
Sovereignty became a turning point in the life of our state, when the centuries-old spiritual culture of the Kyrgyz people began to be revived and developed. In this regard, the growing interest in the problem of understanding the cultural and historical originality of the Kyrgyz people, the peculiarities of ethnogenesis and culturogenesis, as well as age-old traditions, is quite natural. The history of the development of world culture has repeatedly demonstrated that it is precisely in times of instability that the need for moral revival becomes particularly acute. We are currently experiencing a situation where moral norms and their practical expression in the form of etiquette rules are gaining increasing importance, as their non-compliance in interpersonal relationships and in relations between states and peoples complicates the existence of humanity. This explains the heightened interest in the cultural heritage of the Kyrgyz people over the past decade.
The relevance of this problem also lies in the fact that its study allows for a deeper understanding of the phenomenon of spiritual values and etiquette rules, as well as a comparison of them with the achievements of other cultures, the study of which is beneficial in the process of spiritual mutual enrichment.
The growth of intercultural contacts and the establishment of diplomatic relations have sharply increased attention to issues of ethnic peculiarities of etiquette. Undoubtedly, research in this area will allow for a new perspective on the national question and the nature of its resolution, as ignorance of national behavioral peculiarities can become not only a cause for quarrels and grievances, leading to conflict situations, but also inflict significant damage to the foreign policy of the state. Preventing the emergence of such situations can be achieved by paying attention in advance to the necessity of observing the etiquette rules of the people, respecting their national customs and traditions, thereby fostering a more tolerant attitude towards the culture of other peoples. Therefore, it is evident that the problem of Kyrgyz ethnos etiquette is multifaceted and relevant.
A feature of this research is that it is conducted at the intersection of the history of philosophy and cultural studies. The study addresses problems that are the subject of investigation by various sciences dealing with issues of intercultural etiquette communication.
The philosophical development of the problems of the genesis and evolution of moral norms and behavioral rules dates back to ancient times; however, as already mentioned, interest in etiquette has increased worldwide in recent decades. New perspectives for its study have emerged thanks to the application of linguistic and semiotic procedures for describing and analyzing communication and behavior in human society.
The growing interest in etiquette issues is also largely explained by a new understanding of the very phenomena of communication and behavior as a whole. Their exceptional role in the functioning of all cultural systems attracts the attention of specialists in communication theory, linguistics, semiotics, psychology, and ethnography. The rapid progress in these fields has led to the formation of new sub-disciplines and branches of scientific knowledge, such as paralinguistics, ethnography of communication, psycholinguistics, proxemics, kinesics, and others.
In this work, we find a more productive philosophical and cultural approach that, in a certain sense, resolves the contradictions in understanding the purpose of etiquette.
